Tribute to a bored Newfie (or two)

This page was designed in tribute to bored Newfies everywhere. It serves as a reminder to those humans foolish enough to leave their Newfs alone with nothing to do for too long. It is with this monument that Cozy and Daisy plea for all humans to spend more time with their Newfs, and to make that time most enjoyable to all involved. I give you, the trophies.

The first image is (was) the remote control from our $850 JVC VCR. It was a beautiful remote, with an LCD screen that kept the time so you could program the VCR when the power failed. One could even program the VCR to record on the remote itself, then point and click the program into the VCR without even turning it on. It was a remote among remotes.

The second image is the remote control given to us by the cable company, and found by us in this condition, not three days after finding the first carcass. We're pretty sure they assumed we'd take better care of it than we did. Now we must sheepishly return to said cable company and confess that we have really big mice. Maybe squirrels...

My prized remotes were left out on the couch (foolishly) by we humans that think we live here. We were warned by our breeder that both Cozy and Daisy both have the "remote control gene", but since we had left them out in the past, we figured we were safe evermore. Apparently we were mistaken.

We are watching the beasties for any signs of distress due to consumed components. I am pretty sure however, that I have accounted for most of the pieces created by this orgy of technology tasting. Luckily, we found the batteries from both units right away. Little shrapnel remains. Aside from what is seen here, there are only crumbs, which now reside in the vacuums - some mechanical, others not.

The culprit? Unknown. The very reserved and proper Daisy or the out-of-control puppy Cozy? Outer appearences can be deceiving. I think we shall never know. Perhaps it is better that way...
